While the Jersey Shore may have become infamous because of the MTV show of the same-name, longtime New Jersey residents know that most of the Jersey Shore offers a relaxed laid-back environment with a slower pace and less stress than much of the state, which serves, in many ways, as a series of bedroom communities for the New York metropolitan area. The shore is different; it has always been a destination onto itself, helping create a pro-art and culture vibe that shore residents love, and are reluctant to leave as the age. The Chelsea at Brick, in Ocean County, brings this same atmosphere to the assisted living arena, helping seniors preserve the lifestyle that they love, while providing the extra services people need as they age.
The Chelsea at Brick serves as a stand-alone community.
At Chelsea Senior Living, we understand that being part of the community is vital to keeping seniors feeling young and healthy, but that being able to retreat is also critical for happiness and health. That is why virtually every need a senior might have can be met onsite. We have a full-time registered nurse; on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapy; and a health and wellness program aimed at improving or maintaining resident health. We have a restaurant-style dining room that offers wonderful choices for all three meals, and daily scheduled activities on-site to ensure that even those resident with restricted mobility or who choose to stay in the facility have access to stimulating activities. We know that when you look better, you feel better, so we offer an onsite beauty salon/barber shop. We also make sure the facility is comfortable, with various sitting areas and lounges, including a large theater, open terraces with rocking chairs, a bistro area for snacks, and a living room for socializing and watching TV.
We help our residents interact with the community at large.
While a resident could stay in our facility and have almost all of their needs met, living in a vibrant and social town like Brick provides so many entertainment and cultural opportunities that most of our residents take advantage of the perks. We have scheduled transportation to shopping, local attractions, special events, and more. Moreover, if there is no scheduled transportation, we can help residents arrange transportation to these events or locations. We also have various groups from the community come into the facility, ensuring that our residents remain part of the community, as a whole.
