We were greeted with the kind of warmth most people reserve for close family. Residents were out-and-about – enjoying a sunny day on the front porch, mingling with each other in the public indoor areas, or chatting with staff. As Mom and I returned one day and approached The Chelsea, Mom said, “It looks like I’m home.” Home. Not “a home” or “the home.” In one word, Mom summed up life at The Chelsea – Home.

The room sizes are very nice, she has more than enough room for what she needs. It is a very warm and inviting environment, all of the staff are so caring. It has given me great peace of mind having her here and I would definitely recommend them to others who are looking.

My mom moved to the Chelsea from another facility. The medical staff and administration are top notch. My mom’s health has steadily improved. The staff are very personable and solicitous. the meals are great and the activities enticing to my mom. The maintenance staff are amazingly helpful. My family is so delighted to see my mom thriving.

The staff are incredibly caring, and everyone is nice. They have activities available for the residents – it is sometimes hard to get all the residents to participate in the activities. The staff have been very helpful with any questions we may have, and very genuine. The residents are very friendly as well.

So far everything has been wonderful. My mom loves it and is very happy. We looked at 12 properties and after looking at everything in the area we chose The Chelsea at Shrewbury and we have been very happy with that choice. It has been hard with Covid- 19 but they are doing a great job.

After our father passed away and mom had a terrible fall, we knew mom needed extra care and found it at The Chelsea at Marlboro. We knew we finally found the place that would suit Mom’s needs and give her the loving care she deserved. The facility is bright. and cheerful. Every area is fully rugged and spotless and gives the appearance, as my mom still says “a luxury hotel”.

My dear Mother has been a resident at The Chelsea at Marlboro for 2 years and my brother and I couldn’t be happier with the care she receives; the staff always makes an extra effort to let us know how she is doing and when we visit they are always friendly and the place is always clean.

Our mom moved to The Chelsea at Marlboro a few months ago and her experience has been terrific! We are so happy that the staff has made her really feel like she has a new home. Her apartment is clean and spacious. She enjoys the meals and the activities. We feel comfortable knowing that if we are not around, our mom is well taken care of.

The whole staff goes above and beyond to help you, including the directors. They get the struggle in regards to the pandemic. The nursing staff was wonderful. The feeling of home, from the second I walked in I could feel the warmth and it was the best feeling.

The staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. My father was on the dementia side, and they were amazing. They did as much as they could for everybody. The care services were excellent.

Mom enjoyed every aspect of her time at The Chelsea at Forsgate. The staff was caring, competent, compassionate and considerate of Mom’s wants and needs. Mom even loved the food and enjoyed sitting through both the early and late dining time each day. Words cannot express how grateful I am to the Chelsea at Forsgate family for embracing Mom in everything that mattered and making every day worthwhile.

I never thought I would enjoy living in an assisted living facility and I really enjoy it. There is always something to do. Everyone is friendly, I have made many new friends. You cannot make a mistake coming to live here.

The staff is very nice and very welcoming. They answered all of my questions. They’re very caring. My loved one has fallen a few times and they’ve immediately called me to let me know what’s going on. It seems like a very well run operation. Everything I’ve seen has been pretty clean – nothing dirty, nothing laying around that shouldn’t be laying around. My loved one tells me the food is very good.

We chose Somerset Gardens because we got a warm feeling from them during our tour and we were impressed with their memory care unit. The location is great and they also have parking on the spot that is very close. The staff is extremely helpful and I would recommend them.

The first time I walked into Somerset the feeling was totally exceptional. I accompanied my friend to look into bringing her dad there from another facility. My first impression with everyone was firstly kindness, loving, friendly and helpful. When we left I turned to my friend and I said this is the place, dad will love it, as I love it here. I even mentioned that I wanted to move in there. A great environment of wonderful people.

Somerset Gardens has been a very caring Assisted Living community for my mother. From the moment we selected this community for her, the director was so supportive as we transitioned her from rehab and hospital stays. My experience while visiting other facilities was that many just felt like it was all business without a true supportive touch. Somerset Gardens went above and beyond to help us out. When it comes to the care your loved one will receive, Somerset is top notch.

We considered the residents and staff our “extended family.” It brings my family and I peace to know how well cared for mom was by everyone. She always commented how kind and caring the staff was. She never had concerns over her wellbeing, thanks to all of you. The fact that mom, her sister Betty and sister-in-law Dorothy all called Chelsea home made our visits that much more special. It also speaks volumes as to how highly we regard your community. From the bottom of our hearts, please know how much we appreciate all you did for mom and all you continue to do every single day.

Just a note to send my sincere thanks to The Chelsea at Forsgate for the care and kindness shown to my mother, Joean Leone, during her stay in the memory care unit. My sister and I could not have imagined finding such a perfect community for our mom. It was such a comfort to my sister and I, since she lived in Maine and I was in Vermont. The staff welcomed our many calls and took the time to provide updates regarding my mother’s status. Never were my interactions rushed. The staff was always respectful and caring. I appreciate each and every one of them.

We fell in the love with this facility immediately. I highly recommend the Chelsea at Manalapan.

I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s been wonderful.
