Michele began her career as a nursing assistant at age 19. It wasn’t long before she realized that healthcare was where she wanted to work. She went on to earn her LPN, then took a job as a medical records supervisor. Her commitment and compassion allowed her to move to higher positions where she eventually became a manager of a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). As she found herself in more managerial roles, she decided to go back to school for Healthcare Administration at the University of Phoenix.
Michele’s daily goal is to enhance the quality of her residents’ lives. At the end of each day, she’s content knowing that she did so, even in small ways. Just by listening, she says, it’s possible to brighten someone’s day.
Michele believes that decisions should be made based on empathy, not sympathy. It is this commitment that allows her to love coming to work each day.
Michele is a certified Personal Care Home Administrator (PCHA). When not at work, she enjoys crossword puzzles and word games. She is married with 3 sons and 4 grandchildren.
