LeeAnn has always been a people person, so when she left the restaurant business and decided to look for a people-oriented job, she landed at Somerset Gardens as a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA). Now, 10 years later, Somerset Gardens is her second home.
As Director of Community Relations, she has always felt connected to the residents and their families.
“It can be a tough transition, moving to assisted living, not only for the people coming here but for their families,” she says. “It’s my job to make them feel more comfortable with the process.”
One of LeeAnn’s signature projects is the annual Tricky Tray auction at Somerset Gardens which raises money for Alzheimer’s research. She hand crafts upwards of 70 gift baskets as prizes for the auction, which has raised thousands of dollars.
A resident of Ronkonkoma, LeeAnn admits to a passion for computer games (Knights and Brides, especially), and gardening.
