Meal Preparation and Delivery
At Chelsea, every Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care community has a culinary team that prepares and serves three healthy meals and snacks for all residents. Directed by the Executive Chef, the culinary team creates meals that are nutritious and follows the dietary restrictions of the residents. Chelsea employs a registered dietician who approves all menu recommendations, and dietary guidelines are directed by the residents’ doctors.
Immediate Access to Emergency Services
All residents of Assisted Living and Memory Care communities have immediate access to emergency services at any time. Residents of these communities are provided with a pendant that they are encouraged to wear at all times. It will alert the staff when emergency help is needed which will be evaluated further once the Care Team arrives. Ambulance services will be contacted, if needed.
Weekly Housekeeping for All Residents
All senior apartment residents receive weekly housekeeping. You’ll never have to clean again. Even just saying that out loud sounds relieving. Our Cleaning Team will make your apartment look shiny and new on a weekly basis. You get to decide when you’d like to schedule services. Laundry and linen service is also optional.
If the senior has a sudden cleaning emergency, they can contact the concierge, and someone from our Cleaning Team will come to their apartment immediately.
Some Utilities Are Included
Seniors need a home that is affordable during their retirement years, and many seniors are on a fixed income. They will need affordable housing that meets their budgetary constraints. Some communities offer some utilities with the monthly rental fees. This could include power, water, gas, and garbage services.
The seniors will have to pay for entertainment options such as cable and internet, and some communities don’t include phone service in their apartment packages. It is recommended that the seniors inquire about what utilities are included in the rent and what aren’t. This could help them find housing that meets their needs.
Access to Salon and Barber Services
The salon and barber are right outside your door at every Chelsea Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care community. All stylists are contracted by Chelsea and come to the community at least once a week. Appointments are required.
Private Apartments and Suites
Apartments at each senior community vary by style. Chelsea offers spacious apartments in all communities. Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments are either a studio or one bedroom. Independent Living options include two-bedroom availability. We encourage residents to decorate their apartments the way they see fit; this includes furniture, photos, and antiques, to name a few.
Social Activities for Everyone
Studies show that socializing keeps seniors healthier and helps them cultivate long-lasting friendships.
Daily activities are coordinated by the Lifestyle Director at senior communities like Chelsea. These are typically different every day. Themed parties and events are a great way for seniors to get to know each other.
