(Rockville Centre, NY)—Erica Shillingford, a Medication Aide at Maple Pointe Assisted Living, 260 Maple Avenue, has been named Noble Caregiver of the Year by the New York State Center for Assisted Living (NYSCAL) for her day to day dedication to the residents and her fellow employees.
Erica is a 17-year employee of Maple Pointe and is beloved by both residents and staff.
“Her kindness, her smile and sense of humor bring joy to our residents daily,” said Tammy Marshall, Maple Pointe’s Executive Director. “She has a strong bond with family members and is a mother figure to front-line staff. I couldn’t be prouder to work with someone as special as Erica.”
Erica will be honored at the NYSCAL awards banquet at the annual NYSHFA/NYSCAL Conference on May 7th at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY.
