The Chelsea at Toms River is a premier Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Ocean County, located right off Silverton Road, and close to the Garden State Parkway.
The community has a longstanding history in the township and has served seniors for more than 15 years. The Chelsea at Toms River provides stress-free living in a safe, comfortable and secure environment. While the privacy of your own apartment may be desired, the active social scene and people throughout the community truly embody what senior living is all about.
There are plenty of places to shop, eat, and visit while you’re here including Bey Lea Golf Course, Wallach’s Farm Market and Deli, the Jersey Shore beaches and boardwalks, and more. We’re also surrounded by many medical services and close to Monmouth Medical Center.
If you’d like to see what our community’s all about before making the decision to officially move in, we offer VIP Short Stays in private apartments with the same services and amenities that you’d receive if you were here for the foreseeable future.
Shanyn leads all business and operational aspects of the community. Her objective is to consistently make all residents satisfied, comfortable, and fulfilled. She has been in senior living for the past three decades and it is truly her passion.
Prior to joining The Chelsea at Toms River, Shanyn was the Executive Director at Leisure Park. She was responsible for keeping the residents happy and engaged with all aspects of community life.
Her success as an Executive Director was first recognized while working at Voorhees Senior Living where she received the JD Power Award for Assisted Living in 2019. She was there for seven years.
Prior to that, she was the Regional Director of Food and Dining at Five Star Senior Living, managing the overall quality, service, and performance of the company’s dining services for several communities.
Shanyn wants to create the best experience for the residents and advocate for those that don’t have anyone to speak on their behalf. In her free time, she loves to go to the beach, read a good book, travel, go fishing, boating, and listen to music. She also coaches boys recreational soccer for Toms River FC.
