That is, if we’re not chowing down on some delicious food in The Chelsea Restaurant.
Our special bus trips include excursions to local restaurants, the nearby brewery, an artisan studio to learn how to paint, and we even have a chance to test our luck at the casino. Like many Chelsea employees, Christine pursued a career in assisted living after being inspired by her own family, in her case, the passing of her grandparents.
“I missed the interactions and stories they shared,” she recalls.
Thus, as Director of Community Relations, she thrives on being the one who can ease the often emotional transition into assisted living based on each individual’s needs and preferences.
“I want residents and their families to know I truly care and want to make assisted living a great experience,” she says. “My relationship with the families does not stop after move-in.”
Christine admires her coworkers for being exceptional caregivers.
“The genuine daily compassion I feel from our staff is what sets us apart from our competitors,” she says.
Christine is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP). Her spare time is joyfully spent with her husband and four children. They vacation, dine, and participate in and watch most sports. During infrequent quiet times Christine enjoys reading.
