Maria came to Chelsea with a diverse portfolio of experience in assisted living, most recently as Executive Director of a residence in Lakewood, NJ. She is a Certified Assisted Living Administrator (CALA) who worked her way up from an aide in a South Jersey residence, then Marketing Director.
A transplant from the Philippines, Maria always dreamed of being a doctor. When her family emigrated to the U.S. her plans changed. She joined a cultural dance company, traveling and performing, then went to work for the U.S. Postal Service where she became a supervisor and stayed for 15 years.
When her grandmother became sick with dementia, she was inspired to return to her dream of working in healthcare and the rest is history.
Maria is very involved with her children’s school and athletic activities. She enjoys cooking, baking and making crafts.
Jose has over 7 years of experience working in health care. He started as a Med Tech at a local Assisted Living community. Prior to joining Chelsea, he was a Client and Recruiter Manager at a home care agency.
Jose has helped many families throughout the years and takes great pride in becoming people’s “go-to” expert as they navigate through the challenges of getting the right help for their loved ones. His professional goal has always been to end up at an Assisted Living community and so he’s very fortunate and elated to be a part of The Chelsea Family.
