Our goal is to provide a private living experience, which blends seamlessly into the community activities and spaces in the facility. Residents can relax in privacy and serenity in their own homes, or choose to visit common areas such as a Living Room, Club Room, Bistro, Tavern or any of our gorgeous appointed outdoor spaces, to relax and socialize with other residents.

What this means is that residents have access to a full complement of daily living assistance, but that they are in charge of determining the level of care that is most appropriate for them. With regular evaluations, monitoring, and family meetings, the Chelsea team can help seniors maintain independence for as long as possible, without ever compromising the quality of patient care. The physical design of our facility also helps facilitate independence; for example, our suites and apartment have private bathrooms and kitchenettes.

Of course, as needs progress, so does the level of care we can provide. The Chelsea at Shrewsbury features the County Cottage providing specialized care for residents with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, in a safe, dignified, and home-like environment.
